Gal Costa (1945-2022) was a legendary Brazilian singer of popular music and one of the main figures of the Tropicália movement in the late 1960s. Regarded as one of Brazil's greatest female singers of all time, she recorded songs by composers such as Antônio Carlos Jobim, Caetano Veloso, and Gilberto Gil.
