Norman Connors
Norman Connors (born March 1, 1947, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American jazz drummer, composer, arranger, and producer who has led a number of influential jazz and R&B groups. He achieved several big R&B hits, especially with love ballads, and is best known for the 1976 hit "You Are My Starship" featuring Michael Henderson. He studied music at Temple University and Juilliard, and played with Pharoah Sanders before launching his solo career in 1972.
