Jane Monheit (born November 3, 1977) is an American jazz and traditional pop singer. Born in Oakdale, New York, she studied at the Manhattan School of Music and was runner-up in the 1998 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocal Competition. With a career spanning over 25 years and 12+ studio albums, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Blue Note, Village Vanguard, and major festivals worldwide. Known for her "voice of phenomenal beauty" (NY Times), she masterfully interprets The Great American Songbook, Brazilian music, and contemporary pop.
